Mainstream Schooling Empty School

Post  KarenY Tue Feb 03, 2009 6:39 am

My Son Aiden is 6 years old, he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder about 2 years ago. He currently attends Camden public school which has an autism class attatched to it. The class has 7 students from kindergarden to yr 6 with a teacher and a teachers aid. He has gained so much from that school, the teachers are fantastic. I have toileting issues with Aiden and he has accidents quite frequently, the school organised a way that he could change himself with 2 teachers outside the toilet cubicle, that saves me driving 25mins to change him or bring home. I can't say a bad thing about the school, even down to the students.
